EAST CHINA SEA (JUNE 19, 2013) Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) shield their faces from jet exhaust as an AV-8B Harrier jet aircraft assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 513 lands on the ship's flight deck. At 8:30 on June 18, Tonnerre (L9014) amphibious assault helicopter carrier of the French Navy has docked at Baria-Secere Port, Phu My Town, Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Vietnam. The Tonnerre, headed by Colonel Jean-François Querat, stayed at the port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau nearby instead of visiting Ho Chi Minh City because it is too big to be accommodated by the city’s port.
