3- Spartan Brigade Jump
Paratroopers jump from a C-17 Globemaster III over Malamute Drop Zone, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson during the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division's Operation Spartan Reach, a mass tactical airborne training event across Alaska from Monday through Wednesday. This is the largest airborne training mission in the history of the Spartan Brigade, dropping more than 1,400 paratroopers, in addition to heavy equipment including two 105 mm howitzers at the Donnelly Drop Zone near Fort Greely, and JBER's Malamute Drop Zone using five C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, and one C-130 Hercules aircraft. According the Chinese edition of the same report, those An-209 tactical UAVs are organic to artillery regiments for reconnaissance and target positioning purposes.
Training for key operators of new-type UAV concludes
A 30-day training for the key operators of the new-type reconnaissance UAV concluded successfully recently. The reconnaissance UAVs have been used in the artillery troops in recent years. They are new-type information weapons used for battlefield reconnaissance and surveillance, targeting and damage assessment. They have the characteristics of a large range of mobility, multiple reconnaissance means, high positioning accuracy and fast response. (China Military Online/Wu Sulin)

At 8:30 on June 18, Tonnerre (L9014) amphibious assault helicopter carrier of the French Navy has docked at Baria-Secere Port, Phu My Town, Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Vietnam. The Tonnerre, headed by Colonel Jean-François Querat, stayed at the port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau nearby instead of visiting Ho Chi Minh City because it is too big to be accommodated by the city’s port.
China on Wednesday successfully conducted taking-off and landing exercises of J-15 fighter jets on the country's first aircraft, the Liaoning.This is the second time the country has conducted such training after a first jet landing exercise passed successfully on the deck in November last year.
