In pictures, Russia shows Vietnam's Ha Noi Submarine

Jan 22, 2013- The first Kilo class submarine of Vietnam has been sea trials by Admiralty Shipyard.

It, Kilo class submarine named Hanoi (Vietnamese: Hà Nội, The capital city of Vietnam), is closed for water testing at the Port of Kaliningrad. Earlier, Hanoi submarine was launched in December, 2012.

The process of water testing at the port of Kaliningrad is done with the participation of the Vietnamese crew whom are familiar with the process to control the submarine under the direction of Russian experts.

Hanoi submarine is expected to be delivered to Vietnam in August, 2013.

Vietnam ordered to buy six Kilo class submarines of Project 636M, the total value of construction contracts including the submarine base and arms up to $ 4 billion US dollars.

Hanoi Kilo class submarines are docked at the Port of Kaliningrad to conduct water testing
