Vietnam’s KCT 15 anti-ship missile will be guided by GLONASS

Roskosmos agency head Yuri Urlichich says Vietnam’s KCT 15 anti-ship missile will be guided by GLONASS.

KCT 15 is a licensed copy of the Russian Kh-35. The satellite navigation system will be needed as the missile has a range of 200km.

Vietnam shows video of the most powerful anti-ship missiles P-35P/ 4K44B Redut-M live fire

The Vietnamese Navy has putted in service a very dangerous anti-ship cruise missile P-35P. With a 1 tonne warhead and a range of 460km, this type of missile can completely knock down an aircraft carrier if it hits.

It is notable that Vietnam is the only foreign country, beside Russia, that owns the anti-ship missile system.

The missile of the Redut-M system of the Vietnamese navy is trying to destroy the target.

The rocket has a cruising altitude of 100-400m when approaching the target.

Especially the missile can use its radar to guide other missiles to destroy the target.

When approaching the target, the missile warhead lower the altitude below 100m to avoid radar and enemy interception system. At this point they will go at Mach 1.4 and destroy the target.

In a television news of QPVN - a TV channel of Vietnam's Defense Ministry on March 1st, 2018, Vietnam unveiled its domestically made anti-ship misile called X35.

The 3M24 or X35 anti-ship missile (export variant called 3M24E or X-35E) is a subsonic cruise missile developed by KTRV and produced with variants for aircraft, helicopters, floating ships (Uranium / Uranium-E) and the Bal / Bal-E Coastal Missile System.

The X-35E anti-ship missile has a range of 130 km to destroy missiles, torpedoes, artillery, ships up to 5,000 tons and ocean liners. Russia has developed an improved version of the X35-UE that is 2-2.5 times more powerful than the X-35E and has a range of 260 km, twice more than the X-35E.

Nowaday, Vietnam produces this kind of missiles itshelf with the suport of Russian technology.

Another variant of this type of missile is the KCT-15, which is also manufactured by Vietnam.

Vietnam's navy equipped with the latest Israeli reconnaissance aircraft

At the 2018 Navy Training Corps of the 954th Air Force Brigade, a very modern Israeli-style reconnaissance aircraft has appeared.

Orbiter 2 was launched by launcher and recovered by parachute launch.

These unmanned aerial reconnaissance aircraft are capable of self-guided flight and remain operational even when GPS (Global Positioning System) interferes with or interruption of communication.

Vietnamese Russian-made Frigate Gepard 3.9 Ly Thai To launches Kh-35 Uran-E missle

Vietnam Kilo class submarine launches Club-s missle in a fire test

Vietnam has completly received 6 Improved Kilo (Project 636) in 2016. The Kilo class is the NATO reporting name for a naval diesel-electric attack submarine that is made in Russia. The Vietnam national television reported after a military exercise in 2016 in South China Sea, a club-s missle was launched when the submarine was underwater.

Molniya missile boat 1241.8/ Tarantul V of Vietnam People's Navy

Vietnam People’s Navy launched its sixth home-made Molniya-class missile corvettes in 2017.

“The ships are the assets of our people. All officers train hard to protect the vessels and defend the national flag,” Vietnam People’s Navy deputy commander Rear Admiral Hoang Hong Ha said during the ceremony on October 9, as quoted by Vietnamese news outlet Tuổi Trẻ.

Vietnam is expected to have a total of 12 Molniya-class missile corvettes designed by Russian JSC Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The first two were built in Russia by Vympel Shipyard JSC and delivered in 2007 and 2008.

The contract stipulated that the next 10 corvettes will be built in Vietnam by Ba Son Shipbuilding Company. Each of the ships costs approximately VND3 trillion (US$131.7 million).

The primary mission of these warships is destruction of enemy combat vessels, landing craft and enemy naval forces in both littoral waters and open seas. Secondary mission may include patrolling, rescue, anti-piracy, border protection and reconnaissance.

The Molniya-class missile corvettes feature AK-176M 76mm artillery gun, the Uran missile system comprising 16 missiles in four launch tubes, the AK-630M 30mm antiaircraft artillery system and 12 missiles for the Igla portable antiaircraft missile system.

The combinations of 16 Uran-type anti-ship missiles, which are located on either side of the hull (8 on each side). Inside the missile complex is the subsonic Kh-35 Uran-E anti-ship missile with the range about 300km (Russian-made improved version for exporting).
