At the beginning of 1945, the Soviet Union’s Red Army and Allied forces entered Germany. On May 2nd, Berlin was taken. Six days later, Nazi Germany announced its unconditional capitulation and signed the surrender document. This marked the end of World War Two, also called the anti-fascist war.
